According to AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, more than 10,000 car crashes were attributed to aggressive driving from 1990 to the later part of 1996; and over 200 people, children included, died. Worse, a survey published in Road and Travel Magazine revealed that 59 percent of the respondents would react aggressively even when they would have children on board.
Coping with anger while driving is definitely not a walk in the park, but it’s also not something you cannot accomplish. There are many ways on how to handle anger while on the road.
Know the Reason for Your Anger
There’s a much deeper reason for aggressive driving, and usually it has something to do with fairness. If somebody steals your parking space, cuts your lane, or honks his or her vehicle like there’s no tomorrow, you immediately think it’s not fair. So you react negatively.
It’s also possible that the road issues bring about bad memories. For example, you may have lost a loved one because of a hit and run.

The signs can differ from one driver to another. However, they normally include overspeeding, changing or cutting of lanes, yelling and cursing, carrying of weapons such as guns, running red lights, and tailgating.
